Retail analytics for brands selling on Amazon, Walmart and other online retailers, covering sales, traffic and share.
- Works with Amazon data
- Covers marketplaces beyond Amazon
Amazon gets most of the attention from seller tools, but plenty of products sell well on Walmart, eBay and Etsy, and many brands sell on several at once. The tools in this category bring sales and category data for those marketplaces, plus analytics platforms that help a brand see its numbers across retailers in one place.
Each marketplace calls for a different kind of research. On eBay, sold listings tell you what an item actually went for, and sell-through rate tells you how quickly listings in a category convert to sales. Resellers use that to price used and collectible items and to decide which products to source. On Etsy, buyers look for handmade, vintage and personalized goods, so shop owners study which listing styles, materials and price points move, and how many near-identical listings already exist. On Walmart, sellers watch how a product performs compared with its Amazon listing, since the two audiences and fee structures differ.
Brands that sell across several retailers face a different problem: their data is split between seller portals, ad consoles and retailer reports. Multi-marketplace analytics tools pull those numbers together so a team can compare sales, traffic, share and advertising across channels. These platforms are usually built for established brands and agencies rather than new sellers.

When you compare tools here, check which marketplaces and countries each one covers in depth, not just which logos appear on its site. Ask whether sales figures are estimates or come from your own connected account, since both kinds often appear on the same dashboard. For Etsy and eBay extensions, see what they show on the marketplace page itself, because that is where most daily research happens.
Marketplace research is also a check on risk. Selling the same product in more than one place spreads your sales, but each marketplace has its own fees, listing rules and buyers. Data from the marketplace you plan to sell on is a better guide than assuming Amazon demand carries over.
Fees deserve their own check. Each marketplace charges differently for listing, selling, payment processing and fulfillment, and some add fees for promoted listings or offsite ads. A product with a thin margin on one marketplace can work on another, and the reverse is just as common. Run the numbers for each channel separately before you list a product everywhere at once.
It is the share of listings in a search or category that sold within a period. A high rate suggests buyers snap items up; a low rate suggests many listings sit unsold. Resellers use it to judge whether an item is worth sourcing.
They estimate sales from public signals such as reviews, favorites and listing changes. Etsy does not share other shops' sales figures, so treat the numbers as a guide, especially for newer listings.
Not always. Walmart's shoppers, search ranking and fees differ, and some categories perform better on one marketplace than the other. Look at Walmart data directly before you assume a product that sells on Amazon will sell there too.
Mostly established brands, agencies and retail teams that sell through several retailers and need one view of sales, traffic and advertising. New sellers on a single marketplace usually get more from that marketplace's own research tools.
