Google Trends

Google Trends shows how search interest in a term changes over time, compared with its own peak. You can compare up to five terms, filter by country or region, switch between web search, YouTube and Google Shopping, and see related queries that are rising.

Sellers use it to check whether demand for a product is growing, shrinking or seasonal before they commit to stock. A product that only spikes around one holiday needs different inventory planning from one with steady interest all year. Rising related queries can also point to product variations or features buyers are starting to look for.

Trends shows relative interest on a scale of 0 to 100, with no absolute search volumes. Pair it with a keyword tool for volume figures, and look at several years of data so one unusual season does not mislead you.
